Retreat on “The Eight Verses of Thought Transformation” & “Medicine Buddha Prayers for Healing”

We all have a natural tendency to seek happiness and avoid suffering. This is a basic fact of human existence. During this retreat, participants will learn about profound practices that allow inner reflection to deepen their wisdom and transform unhappiness and daily frustrations into a path of fundamental freedom and unconditional love.

The Eight Verses, derived from the traditional Mahayana Buddhist practice of lojong, was written by the great Kadampa Bodhisattva, Geshe Langri Tangpa (AD 1054-1123).

Sunday morning will continue with the Medicine Buddha Prayers for Healing. Recitation of the Medicine Buddha mantra is an extremely powerful practice for healing physical illnesses and purification of negative karma.

This retreat is for beginners and advanced students alike. All are welcome. The weekend will be a combination of teaching, meditation, mantra recitation and time for Q & A.
